Job description

Position Overview

Provides reliable digital support with a primary focus on updating website content and maintaining CMS platforms to ensure accurate, accessible, and timely information delivery. Strengthens organizational communications and member engagement by performing consistent, detail oriented web operations and supporting routine digital workflows. Contributes to overall efficiency by assisting with documentation, coordination, and platform upkeep, while providing backup support for email marketing tasks as needed.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Maintain and publish materials through CMS platforms following established procedures, including preparing and uploading product images, videos, files, and text.
  2. Update and maintain website content using approved HTML and CSS to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  3. Monitor, troubleshoot, and document basic website and platform issues, escalating when necessary.
  4. Collaborate with team members to coordinate routine work, maintain organized records, and support daily digital operations including data entry and documentation.
  5. Support website migration tasks, departmental initiatives, and special projects as assigned.
  6. Provide backup support for email marketing by executing routine updates using approved email automation tools.
  7. Other duties as assigned

  • Assist with account updates under direction from senior staff.
  • Document information for escalation of technical tickets.

Experience / Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Coursework or certifications in web content, IT support, or digital tools preferred.
  • One year of experience supporting websites, digital platforms, and mass email automation preferred.
  • Certifications in HTML, CSS, CMS, or email marketing preferred.

Other Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to relate to persons with a variety of cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
  • A high degree of professionalism in representing TAC in significant contacts with elected officials and members
  • Knowledge of website content management practices, digital publishing standards, and accessibility fundamentals; experience working in CMS platforms such as Kentico (primary), WordPress, or comparable systems.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms, with the ability to update and maintain accurate, accessible web content.
  • Skill in troubleshooting simple technical issues, documenting findings, and identifying when issues require escalation.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and manage multiple tasks to meet routine deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism, inclusive communication, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic understanding of digital best practices, including accessibility and content quality standards.
  • Experience updating and responding to tickets in project management systems such as Robohead and Jira; familiarity with tools such as Asana or Trello is a plus.
  • Familiarity with email marketing automation tools such as Informz (primary), MailChimp, Marketing Cloud, or comparable platforms, with the ability to provide backup support as needed.
