Overview

As a full-stack Senior Software Developer, you will be immersed in a high performing and frequently challenged team responsible for Pacific Dental Services’ external facing websites. You will lead and/or consult with team members to deliver software and implement services & frameworks. You will lead the maintenance of applications and websites on the enterprise content management system.

  • Demonstrate expertise in the code and the team’s software development processes. Help to continuously improve both software and processes.
  • Evaluate multiple approaches to technical problems and be able to recommend one solution after considering limitations and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers to design and develop high-quality functionalities for the websites.
  • Ensure that code is efficient, scalable, maintainable, extensible, robust and easy to understand. Diagnose and fix code problems.
  • Deliver code that meets requirements on schedule. Optimize code to improve tool run time and memory capacity.
  • Perform peer-to-peer code review of the entire application stack
  • Create unit, regression and/or system-level tests to thoroughly validate new features or changes.
  • Communicate solution and design through documentation including diagrams.

Required

  • 8+ years’ experience in software design and development with expert level expertise in multiple programming languages like Java, TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience in building enterprise scale web applications using micro front-end architecture
  • Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS3, AJAX frameworks, ES6, JavaScript build tools
  • Experience in developing software using Front-end libraries/frameworks (jQuery, React)
  • Experience using AI to supplement development
  • Experience writing Playwright or Cypress tests to automate frontend testing of web applications
  • Strong knowledge in SEO, WCAG compliance, performance optimization techniques
  • Experience in applying software engineering best practices, setting front-end software and UX implementation standards
  • Experience with 3rd Party SDK integrations such as Google Maps and other open source libraries
  • Excellent knowledge of working with dynamic data using services (JSON, XML, REST APIs)
  • Experience in waterfall and/or agile software methodologies
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification

Preferred

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with application development tools and content management systems like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jira
  • Demonstrated UI implementation experience, and with a portfolio of work that demonstrates detailed attention to typography, color, imagery, motion, and graphic elements
  • Experience in developing custom reusable components using Atomic Design
  • Experience in integrating Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with react components in both headful and headless manner
  • Experience of working in multi repository code base
  • Experience in writing deployment configurations
  • Experience leveraging AI to optimize code, generate new ideas, and make processes more efficient
  • Working knowledge and experience of SOA using RESTful web services and API platform integrations
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry trends, development products and environments as well as best practices for web application design and development
  • Experience in customizing webpack configurations and writing custom plugins to bundle code as UMD bundle for isomorphic consumption
  • Technology leadership experience in a sourced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy-to-understand business terms
  • Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and leading in a managed service environment
  • Experience in using Jest, Jasmine, Mocha, and Junit with Mockito
