We are seeking a Programmer 3 (.NET Web Developer) to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level web applications using modern Microsoft technologies in a collaborative Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-stack .NET development, database design, API development, and DevOps practices, along with a strong passion for building secure, scalable, and high-performing applications.


Job Title: Programmer 3 (.NET Web Developer)
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – Onsite 2 days/week; Local candidates within 2 hours required)
Duration: 1 Year (with possible extension)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced .NET Web Developer to perform specialized programming and technical work related to website and internet application development. This position works under limited supervision and requires independent judgment, initiative, and strong collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web and standalone applications using industry-standard technology stacks.
  • Develop applications using ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, C#, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, XML, JSON, jQuery, and SQL Server.
  • Utilize MS Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio for development and database management.
  • Apply DevOps and configuration management best practices.
  • Draft technical models capturing data requirements and design data elements to meet business needs.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including functional and technical specifications.
  • Participate in project review meetings, workgroups, and technical review boards, presenting technical details as required.
  • Follow secure application development lifecycle (SADLC) standards and mitigate application-level security risks.
  • Conduct structured walkthroughs, code reviews, and adhere to change management procedures.
  • Perform unit, string, and integration testing; develop test plans, scripts, and test cases.
  • Identify and document defects, perform root cause analysis, and provide remediation plans.
  • Develop user manuals and conduct user training as necessary.
  • Evaluate enhancement requests and assess impact on existing systems.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and cross-functional teams in Agile and traditional project environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in .NET web application development.
  • 5+ years of experience with C#, Angular, and MS Visual Studio.
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, XML, JSON, jQuery, SQL Server, and DevOps.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Extensive knowledge of application architecture, data modeling, and secure coding standards.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or traditional project management methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
