Hi, We are seeking an individual with strong "UNIX and Web Application architecture and administration skills", to help support our direct Client website, for their IT Web Operations Team. Successful candidate will be: ------------------------------------------- An enthusiastic, self-starter who works in a pro-active manner, providing solutions Able to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team Able to prioritize multiple projects and tasks and to reliably meet deadlines Able to demonstrate good inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate clearly to peers, vendors, customers, and management Team player with strong communication and leadership skills Knowledge & Skills: ----------------------------- 4+ years experience in web application administration for a large corporate web site Strong understanding of web application architecture Experience with frontend - Apache in UNIX and Linux Experience with J2EE application servers (middleware) - Tomcat, Jrun, Jboss Experience with Backend - Oracle, MySQL, Perl, Shell, HTTP Working experience with performance monitoring tools, and hardware load balancers (BigIP) is a big plus Working knowledge of version control software (CVS, Subversion, or Perforce), scripting (Perl, Shell), and build tools (Make, Ant) is desired * BS/MS in Computer Science, or Equivalent Note: Salary/Rate is no bar for a qualified candidate.
