Job description

Seeking a Web & Automation Developer to design and build custom programs that enhance user engagement on public-facing websites while supporting internal team functionality. This role spans the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through production deployment, and requires strong expertise in programming and server software operations.
The ideal candidate develops modern web applications using both packaged and custom solutions, creating intuitive front-end interfaces that connect seamlessly to databases. He or she should be proficient in technologies such as HTML, SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, and ColdFusion, and leverage frameworks like Angular or React to build user-friendly, scalable applications. Experience designing dynamic, database-driven interfaces for real-time information sharing and developing secure external web portals is essential.
This position also involves working with graphics, layout, and scripting while ensuring compatibility and integration across diverse technologies. The developer will collaborate within an Agile Scrum team environment and build loosely coupled Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to expose data to a variety of consumers.
Duties may include:
  • Adhere to prescribed processes and guidelines for web development workstations and the development environment to include: requesting approval for software download/installation, software configuration, and software version control.
  • Manage and maintain content for a web presence on three domains (internal facing web page and documents, external facing web-page and documents) to include site design, content updates, collecting web metrics, and supporting access by external customers.
  • Participate in the development of a consolidated business process, integrating and replacing the current project management capabilities; provide installation, customization, support, maintenance, license updates, and monitoring of the consolidated business web presence after implementation.
  • Incorporate automated and manual test management capabilities that identify, standardize and import test objectives, test procedures, test plans, test documentation, releases and cycles structure, and design of overall and low level process flows.
  • Provide database design, development and maintenance (Oracle, PostGreSQL, or other as specified) for Test related web projects.

Experience/Education
Required:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Software Engineering or a related science/engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 years of web development experience with a BS - OR- 12 years of experience without a degree.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with a willingness to learn, solve problems, and adapt in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to adhere to prescribed processes and guidelines for web development workstations and environments, including software approvals, configuration management, and version control.
  • Experience managing and maintaining web content across multiple domains (internal and external), including site design, updates, web metrics collection, and user access support.
  • Experience participating in the development and implementation of consolidated business processes and web-based project management solutions, including installation, customization, maintenance, licensing, and monitoring.
  • Experience incorporating automated and manual test management capabilities, including test objectives, procedures, plans, documentation, release cycles, and process flow design.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, or others as specified) in support of test-related web applications.

  • Experience with independent testing, data verification and validation
  • Experience administering and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, and network services; managing user accounts, permissions, system security, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance
