PHP Web Developer

GeneDx is a rapidly growing CAP and CLIA certified
diagnostic genetic testing laboratory for molecular genetics.Our historic
mission has been to make clinical diagnostic testing available for people with
genetic conditions and their families. We apply cutting edge technologies that
provide a wide array of molecular genetic diagnostic tests, including whole
exome sequencing and next-generation sequencing panels. We specialize in

We are searching for an in house PHP Web Developer. This developer will help
plan, build and maintain a variety of database driven web applications. The
candidate must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and within
a small team.
Responsibilities:
  • Work
    with laboratory technicians, scientists, and geneticists to develop
    technical requirements for new features, workflows and expansions.
  • Participate
    in all phases in the software development life cycle, with an emphasis on
    development, debugging, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate
    with other Programming teams to develop APIs and utilize multiple systems
    to solve workflow complex problems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's
    Degree in computer science, or other field with relevant experience.
  • Experience
    building full stack web applications
  • Proficiency
    hand coding websites with standards compliant XHTML & CSS
  • Proficiency
    with PHP
  • Proficiency
    with JavaScript & jQuery & AJAX
  • Proficiency
    with MySQL or PostgreSQL and writing complex queries by hand
