Project Scope:
The Department of Administration is seeking a Senior Web Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise web applications and websites. The consultant will work across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), developing both front-end and back-end solutions using Drupal, WordPress, PHP, Linux, and related web technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications and websites.
โ€ข Convert user requirements and UI mockups into fully functional websites.
โ€ข Develop front-end and back-end website functionality.
โ€ข Work with CMS platforms including Drupal and WordPress.
โ€ข Maintain and modernize existing PHP applications.
โ€ข Integrate websites with internal and third-party systems.
โ€ข Configure and support Apache Web Server environments.
โ€ข Ensure websites meet accessibility, security, and cross-browser compliance standards.
โ€ข Deliver training and knowledge transfer to end users and client teams.
โ€ข Participate in on-call support for system updates and emergency issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
โ€ข 5+ years of web application development, coding, debugging, and deployment experience.
โ€ข 5+ years of experience with Linux, PHP, Drupal 8, and WordPress.
โ€ข 5+ years of experience with HTML, DHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash.
โ€ข 5+ years of experience with SQL/MySQL databases.
โ€ข Experience configuring Apache Web Server.
โ€ข Full CMS deployment experience (installation, configuration, production support).
โ€ข 5+ years of Public Sector/Government experience.
Preferred Skills:
โ€ข Strong Adobe Photoshop experience.
โ€ข Experience applying Drupal CMS patches and upgrades.
โ€ข Knowledge of web security remediation and best practices.
โ€ข Adobe Captivate experience.
โ€ข Experience creating fillable PDF forms using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
