Job Title: Web Developer - Drupal
Location: Washington, DC 20003
Max Pay Rate: $55/hr on W2, $65/hr on C2C and 1099
Work Arrangement: Local DMV candidates only
Position Overview:-
We are seeking an experienced Web Developer with strong Drupal expertise to support the development, maintenance, and modernization of enterprise and government websites.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing and maintaining Drupal-based websites, along with strong skills in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Twig, accessibility, security, and web development best practices.
This is a highly technical role requiring someone who can work across Drupal development, theming, configuration, integrations, deployments, troubleshooting, and production support.
Required Qualifications:-
  1. 16+ years of specialized Internet/web programming and technical development experience.
  2. 3+ years of hands-on Drupal development, including Drupal 7 and Drupal 9/10/11.
  3. Strong experience with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Twig.
  4. Strong Drupal administration and configuration experience, including:
  • Content types and fields
  • Taxonomies
  • Views
  • Blocks and menus
  • URL aliases and redirects
  • Media Library
  • Image styles
  • Content moderation and workflows
  1. Strong Twig and Drupal theming experience.
  2. Experience with Drupal Libraries API.
  3. Experience with Composer, Drush, Git, and MySQL/MariaDB.
  4. Strong understanding of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
  5. Knowledge of web security practices including XSS, SQL injection prevention, CSRF, access controls, and secure file uploads.
  6. Strong understanding of responsive design, Flexbox, CSS Grid, and modern JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications:-
  1. Acquia Certified Developer or Site Builder certification.
  2. Experience with headless/decoupled Drupal, JSON:API, or GraphQL.
  3. Experience with Acquia Cloud, Pantheon, or AWS.
  4. Experience supporting federal, state, or local government web platforms.
  5. Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Docker.
  6. Experience with Lando, DDEV, or Docksal.
  7. Experience with SCSS/SASS and BEM.
  8. Experience with React or Vue.
  9. Experience with REST API integrations.
