You have experience working with APIs, web architectures, and data formats such as JSON or JSON-LD and understand how semantic data models support scalable, machine-readable systems.
 
You bring experience in supply chain environments or have deep expertise in semantic web technologies and data models, and you understand how structured data enables connectivity across organizations and platforms.

In short, you will help evolve GS1 standards to ensure they remain foundational to modern commerce by enabling machine-readable, interoperable data across global ecosystems.

  • Advance GS1 standards such as Digital Link, Web Vocabulary, and the Global Data Model to support modern, machine-driven use cases. 
  • Drive alignment of GS1 standards with web technologies, including APIs, JSON-LD, and semantic data models.
  • Monitor and engage with emerging ecosystems and protocols, assessing implications and recommending how GS1 standards should evolve.
  • Contribute to the development of machine-readable standards, including schemas, APIs, and developer tooling.
  • Partner with retailers, brands, and solution providers to validate use cases and drive adoption of GS1 standards.
  • Provide thought leadership on trusted, interoperable data across identity, semantics, and provenance domains.
  • Translate industry needs into standards-based solutions that enable scalable and interoperable data exchange.
