TITLE: MULTI-UNIT ASSITANT MANAGER or ASSISTANT STUDIO MANAGER
REPORTS TO: Studio Manager
JOB FUNCTION: The Multi-Unit Assistant Studio Manager (MU-ASM) or Assistant Manager (ASM) supports the Studio Manager in leading all front-of-house sales, service, and operational functions of the Orangetheory Fitness studio. This role is a key leadership position responsible for driving membership sales, executing operational excellence, developing the sales team, and delivering an exceptional member experience while ensuring adherence to Orangetheory Fitness and Maverick systems, policies, and procedures.
The MU-ASM or ASM role is intentionally designed as a development pathway to Studio Manager, providing hands-on exposure to leadership, performance management, sales strategy, and operational
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Performance
  • Assist in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly membership and revenue goals
  • Execute all aspects of the Orangetheory Fitness sales process including studio previews, onboarding, follow-up, renewals, and retention efforts
  • Conduct telephone inquiries, lead follow-up calls, customer care outreach, and retention efforts.
  • Support approved lead generation, referral initiatives, promotions, and marketing efforts
  • Review, analyze and support Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Assist in identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve sales performance and member retention.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Assist the Studio Manager in providing leadership, coaching, and oversight of the sales and operations team
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of Member Ambassadors using approved training materials and standards
  • Model professional behavior, dress code, communication standards, and company values
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven team environment
  • Provide real-time feedback, coaching, and reinforcement to support individual and team success
  • Support scheduling, accountability, and performance management discussions as needed

Operations & Systems Execution
  • Ensure all front desk systems and procedures are executed consistently, including member check-in, guest registration, telephone inquiries, cash handling, delinquent account procedures, document scanning, and change requests
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in all Orangetheory Fitness systems
  • Assist in conducting audits and identifying opportunities for operational improvement
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment, including lobby, front desk, office, and high-use areas
  • Troubleshoot operational and member related issues promptly and professionally

Member Experience
  • Deliver a welcoming, engaging, and consistent experience for all members and guests
  • Greet and engage members enthusiastically throughout the in-studio experience
  • Resolve member questions, concerns and requests with urgency, professionalism and empathy
  • Support proper client onboarding through intake forms and membership agreements
  • Work collaboratively with the Fitness Team to ensure alignment and operational excellence
  • Celebrate member milestones and achievements using approved communication and social media channels

Leadership Development & Growth
  • Gain exposure to broader studio leadership responsibilities including sales strategy execution, team development and accountability, scheduling and coverage planning, performance analysis and action planning
  • Participate in required Orangetheory Fitness training programs and ongoing development
  • Demonstrate readiness to assume additional responsibility as business needs evolve
  • Participate in 1-2 Orangetheory Fitness workouts per week to support brand alignment and engagement

Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Travel locally within the DFW Metroplex as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of sales and customer service experience required quota-based sales preferred)
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in fitness, hospitality, or service-based industries strongly preferred
