The Business Process Engineer (BPE) works directly with Business Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to understand, design, and execute Process-based Automation. This includes leading process discovery and design sessions with large groups of SME from disparate levels of the organization. The job is also responsible for development of solution documentation, effort management, and solution development using IBM Business Automation Workflow and Web Development (ASP.net, SharePoint, etc.) tools: testing, roll-out, and production support of solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs Process Discovery Analysis
  • Performs Business Process Management Automation design, including process flow, Coaching (user interfaces), and application of existing SOA services with BAW Automation.
  • Performs management of BAW solution development teams including leading project sponsors and SME from various business perspectives to consensus, coaching participants to achieve effective process design, and serving as the "voice of the customer".
  • Performs existing solution production support and realignment. (using WebPD and Visual Studios)
  • Executes BAW solutions within existing toolsets (Process Designer).
  • Executes Web Development Solutions within existing toolsets - ASP.Net, SharePoint.
  • Effectively executes Agile Development Methodology utilizing iterative review and modification to fully capture solution requirements.
  • Acts as process SME for other technology efforts.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Senior Management
  • Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
  • College Degree in Business or Information Technology - Required
  • 2 to 3 years of Banking Operations Experience - Required
  • Experience using IBM or other process based automation development platform (Process Designer) - Preferred
  • Specialties: Web Specialist, .Net, SharePoint, HTML, JavaScript, VB script, ASP.Net, knowledge of relational databases using SQL - Preferred
  • Experience in an Agile Technology Development environment - Preferred
  • Experienced level of bank operations knowledge
  • Experienced level of group facilitation knowledge
  • Basic level of process mapping knowledge using Business Process Management Notation (BPMn)
  • Advanced level of process definition knowledge

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel if needed to perform the job
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
