Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Web Developer to serve as an expert independent contributor and site owner for the firmโ€™s recently launched intranet and extranet properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an expert independent contributor with advanced expertise across the full web stack, including presentation, application, and integration layers.
  • Maintain, enhance, and extend the firmโ€™s newly launched intranet and extranet properties, ensuring stability, performance, security, and continued feature delivery.
  • Develop and support web applications, debug existing sites, program enhancements, and build new modules or features.
  • Lead large and complex projects from intake through release, managing multiple phases or workstreams and reviewing junior engineersโ€™ work for routine tasks.
  • Partner closely with Design, Content, and Branding teams to translate visual designs, editorial requirements, and brand standards into accessible, performant, and maintainable web experiences.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements, size work, and deliver features through an agile development workflow using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and release tracking.
  • Work effectively as part of a team with business stakeholders, designers, content authors, product owners, scrum masters, and fellow engineers.
  • Function independently, selfโ€‘direct, plan, and execute projects from intake through release.
  • Implement best practices around code quality, version control, testing, deployment, and site reliability; solve complex or nonโ€‘standard challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Apply extensive understanding of advanced fullโ€‘stack web development methodologies, tools, and techniques, including modern frontโ€‘end frameworks, serverโ€‘side runtimes, RESTful service design, and content management platforms.
  • Build user interfaces by transforming wireframes and design mockups into functional, interactive web pages and connect frontโ€‘end interfaces with backโ€‘end databases, content management systems, servers, and thirdโ€‘party services.
  • Apply compliance and accessibility requirements; maintain publicโ€‘facing content according to marketing compliance and financialโ€‘services regulatory guidelines (FINRA, SEC) and ensure web properties meet WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA standards.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • 8โ€“10+ years of experience building and optimizing large web applications in React or similar frameworks.
  • Proven track record improving realโ€‘user performance metrics at scale, from page load to postโ€‘load interactivity.
  • Strong command of modern bundling and build tooling such as Webpack and performance profiling.
  • Experience with Azure and DevOps deployments.
  • Strong systemsโ€‘thinking and ability to design abstractions, guardrails, and tooling for multiple teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication across platform and product teams, with a bias toward iterative, measurable impact.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a fastโ€‘paced and frequent code deployment environment.
  • Proficiency in C#.
  • Experience with Angular.
  • Strong understanding of interaction patterns, responsive layout systems, accessibility, usability principles, and visual design best practices.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Upโ€‘toโ€‘date knowledge of modern tools and developer workflows (e.g., Cursor, Vercel).
  • Ability to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance.
  • Willingness to work in person at the office 4โ€“5 days a week.
Salary Range

Annual base salary between $160,000.00 and $175,000.00. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
