Job description

Southeastern Louisiana University's Office of Technology invites applications for the position of Senior Application Developer. The Senior Application Developer is involved in the development of Workday integrations and reports. The Senior Application Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing and developing new reports and integrations with and without Workday Studio as well as mentoring more junior developers. The position focuses on the Quality Assurance model, which encompasses the entire software development process, including but not limited to: gathering specifications, software design, coding, source code control, code reviews, change management, configuration management, testing, release management, true tier two end-user support, and product integration. The successful candidate will be expected to work on campus.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university by hire date.
Three years experience developing reports and integrations in Workday or other ERP/SIS System.
Excellent communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with developing or supporting information systems and/or web applications
Experience with developing reports and/or integrations within Workday
Experience with data formats such as XML and/or JSON
Experience in data analysis, particularly in Excel
Experience working in Higher Education
Knowledge of Workday Studio, Extend, and PRISM
Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySql)
Experience with integrating third-party APIs
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Proficient with SQL syntax and queries
Experience developing or maintaining administrative information systems
Experience with Unix-based operating systems and scripting languages.
Experience with x509 Authentication and PGP Encryption
Higher education experience
Self-starter and motivated - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals
