ProSidian Seeks a Computer Science Engineer - Process Engineering Solutions - Information Technology (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.  

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category IT100/14103) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. 

The Computer Science Engineer - Process Engineering Solutions IT 100 as a  Professional Grade position.

Computer Science Engineer - Process Engineering Solutions - Information Technology Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services,  NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

Interfacing with support groups to develop web based applications. Modify applications developed at other sites to integrate with existing databases and applications. Design, implement and maintain internally developed web applications. May assist or supervise other software developers within a project or initiative. Provide training to other software developers on their products or to share with the group as a whole. Present applications and designs to the development group for review and input. Build and maintain development and integration environments for development testing and collaboration needs. Create documents for technical approaches, technical specifications, and system designs. Review and understand customer requirements and specifications. Work with technical personnel to define production test plans. Estimate the effort required for software development activities. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work on multiple priorities, work independently and as a team.

The Computer Science Engineer - Process Engineering Solutions - Information Technology shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Computer Science - Process Engineering Solutions working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. An Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years practical experience. Strong experience and proven track record in the design, coding, and deployment of complex applications using .NET, C#, VB.NET and SQL. Strong Web based Application Development ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, AJAX, WCF, WinForms. Experience in Active Directory, and LDAP. Expertise in systems architecture, engineering, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, and security procedures Web and Application Server expertise including administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Familiar with hardware systems design, enterprise storage, disk sub-systems, cluster management, and troubleshooting.

Thorough understanding of network, application, and data security best practices. Excellent systems documentation and architecture diagram skills. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Experience with network architecture including experience with load balancing equipment, Switches, Routers, and network troubleshooting. Must be self-motivated and able to adjust to changing priorities and/or methodologies. Solid problem solving skills. Able to communicate in a clear and professional manner with various levels of employees to include explaining technical details to a non-technical person A 40 hour work week schedule as anticipated for this position. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position
