Senior Web Developer
Department: Digital

Reporting Relationship
The Senior Web Developer reports to the Director of Digital Initiatives (Web). Other key relationships include ones with the Development, Digital Operations, Content Operations, and Client Program Management teams.
Position Summary
The Senior Web Developer will help define, build, and advance our next-generation web properties in new and exciting ways. She or he will be hands-on with a range of frontend and backend technologies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Work individually or within a small cross-functional team to lead and deliver new development projects.
โ€ข Provide production-quality, reusable code for both server-side and client-side projects.
โ€ข Collaborate as a member of the Digital team architecting and developing next-generation platform functionality, including custom modules and themes.
โ€ข Partner with other Robb Report team members in shaping user experiences that leverage the latest technology, tools, modules, libraries, and interfaces.
โ€ข Work hands-on in supporting our existing infrastructure and developing web-based applications and functionality.
โ€ข Find innovative off-the-shelf solutions, using custom development only when required.
โ€ข Leverage deep knowledge and experience to ask the right questions, ensuring that projects are defined correctly and delivered on time and on budget.
โ€ข Stay abreast of the latest web-based technology trends, including the Drupal product roadmap, community-contributed modules, and new front-end technologies/libraries.

Ideal Experience:
โ€ข Experience developing multiple responsive websites above 2M unique visitors per month using Drupal 6 or later.
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of experience in developing applications using PHP or equivalent language, with at least 3 years of experience with Drupal (6 and 7). Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, or related discipline.
