Job Description

The Senior Web Developer's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new web applications for internal and external use in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.  


  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and designers to conceptualize and develop of new software programs and applications.
  • Be an agile development team member, responsible for working with the team on release planning, sprint planning, scoping, and engaging with customers.
  • Develop structured programs using the appropriate computer language while adhering to Information Technology (IT)'s standards.
  • Enhance existing programs/systems to correct errors or provide new functions.
  • Design and specify test procedures including unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Design system/program test data, debug programs using appropriate system tools and ensure system/program results are accurate and meet system/program specifications.
  • Provide training, written instruction and daily support to customers, technical staff, support staff, and management.


Qualifications
  • A high school diploma/equivalent plus 7 years of related work experience
  • An Associate's degree in the field of Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of related work experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in the field of Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework
  • Understanding of JavaScript MVVM framework
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC Development
  • Experience with C#.NET
  • Understanding of the DOM
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot system applications
  • Ability to write well-crafted, semantic HTML
  • Understanding of usability on the web with a focus on customer experience
  • Understanding of MVC pattern for web development
  • Understanding of Test Driven Development and testing frameworks
  • Good interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to organize and control multiple work assignments
  • Must be able to work on more than one project concurrently
  • Additional hours as required including occasional weekends
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, customers and management
