We are looking for a motivated Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team!

Internship Description:

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will be responsible for conducting Value Stream Map exercises, driving subsequent cost savings opportunities and developing process documents. This will involve working on the factory floor to collect data on observed processes along with interacting with operators. With this data, a best practices process would be defined and ultimately implemented back on the factory floor.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of a Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree at least a Junior in standing. 
  • Selfdirected and motivated
  • Able to communicate effectively at a factory floor level
  • Technical report writing skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products 
  • Familiar with CAD 
  • Comfortable with working in a factory setting

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Mixed environment of office and factory setting. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs daily and 40 lbs on occasion. These requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
