Description:

The Web Developer I will develop, test, and support web and digital banking solutions across the credit union's e-Services ecosystem, including online banking, mobile banking, and ancillary systems and platforms. Analyze business needs and Member-facing requirements to design, build, and improve code, reports, and integrations that enhance the digital Member experience. Apply modern development practices, including version control, peer code review, and AI-assisted development tools used in accordance with the credit union's AI governance and Information Security standards. Troubleshoot and streamline existing code to increase efficiency and automation. Adhere to deployment, dual-control, and Change Management processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.


This position is based in Anaheim Hills CA with the opportunity to work on a hybrid-remote schedule which consists of 2 day in-office and 3 days working remote from home.


Business Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM*

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of progressive software development experience in a Windows environment.
  • 1+ years experience at a basic level using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, Figma, or other AI tools to support coding, documentation, review, troubleshooting, design, or development workflow activities.
  • 1+ years experience at a basic level using GitHub or a similar code repository/version control platform, including experience with commits, branching, pull requests, peer code reviews, and collaborative source code management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working at a credit union or within the financial services industry preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Practical, working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, personal computing systems, Microsoft Office, and network operating systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and conduct research/analysis.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Applied knowledge of API interfacing, SSO, SQL, HTML, CSS, .NET, scripting languages, etc.
  • Applied knowledge of change management procedures and the Software Development Life Cycle including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Demonstrate creativity in the problem-solving process.
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with staff in other departments.
  • Comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to Information Security, OFAC and BSA regulations corresponding to assigned job duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude) for code generation, review, and documentation.
  • Consistently utilize version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows including pull requests, branching, and peer code review.
  • Analyze, develop, QA and test, for accurate coding best practices and implement code in the Staging environment before deploying it to production.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to web development or repair new applications, products, and functionality.
  • Develop Member facing applications, create reports/extracts using SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Analyze and maintain code for ease of processing to increase efficiency and automation.
  • Provide help desk support by phone, in person or using the help desk ticketing system for user assistance.
  • Provide documentation including diagram dataflow for all web applications and logic flow charts for use in coding and documenting enhanced features, newly developed application processes, programs, etc.
  • Participate in code reviews in dual control for learning and perform deployments to production in dual control for proper controls of segregation of duties. Submit all output work for quality assurance testing and perform troubleshooting as deemed necessary.
  • Provide operational and on-call rotation support as required in a 24/7 environment.
  • Ensure the highest level of support through initiative-taking problem ownership and management, and adherence to change management standards.
  • Ensure timely communication and resolution of issues/tickets to stated SLA’s and escalate to appropriate personnel as required as well as meet targeted deadlines for projects as defined.
  • Demonstrate critical evaluation skills and the ability, initiative, and drive to perform root cause analysis to proactively avoid outages and downtime.
  • Scan all developed code for vulnerabilities and recode as necessary for cleaning any bugs identified. Maintain logs for corrections to Management to oversee progress of cleaned scanned code that is ready for production.
  • Maintain to Code Web Development standards and maintain this document as necessary for any updates.
  • Complete understanding and active application the C.A.R.E. 4 Guide expectations and the Brand Communications Standards Accountability Philosophy.
  • Must be able and available to work a “hybrid” schedule, per business operations requirement, as needed.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Pay Scale: Min: $100,884 / Mid: $119,800 / Max: $159,848 *per year

*Actual compensation will be based on geographical location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
