Job description

ASE is looking for a Web Portal Developer to work in Camp H M Smith, HI. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! The Portal Developer and Administrator provides operations and maintenance support for existing enterprise portals while developing new portal customizations, web parts, applications, and supporting documentation. This position delivers technical help desk support, troubleshoots portal issues, evaluates user requests, develops project plans, and creates secure scripts and code in accordance with Department of Defense information assurance requirements and established work center standards. The role also maintains accurate records of completed work, manages source code through approved version-control repositories, and provides portal training and user support. Responsibilities * Provide help desk and operations and maintenance support for existing enterprise portals.
* Document all portal support, maintenance, and development activities in the approved work center tracking system.
* Troubleshoot and resolve assigned portal operational issues involving scripts, source code, configurations, and system settings.
* Develop, modify, test, and maintain portal scripts and code in accordance with DoD security requirements and work center coding standards.
* Upload new and modified code to the approved version-control repository.
* Review portal operations and maintenance requests and develop level-of-effort estimates based on required labor hours, technical complexity, and risk.
* Develop project plans in Microsoft Project for approved portal, application, customization, and web-part development efforts.
* Identify project tasks, required resources, dependencies, timelines, and estimated start and completion dates.
* Design and develop new portal customizations, web parts, applications, and supporting functionality.
* Maintain a cumulative record of actions performed during portal and web-part development.
* Create user manuals, configuration manuals, and other technical documentation using Government-provided templates and established work center standards.
* Develop and deliver portal training, instructional materials, and user aids using J66-approved applications.
* Ensure all portal development and maintenance activities comply with applicable DoD cybersecurity, information assurance, configuration-management, and coding requirements. Qualifications * Active Secret Clearance * In accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, must meet Information Assurance Technical Level II minimum qualification requirements.
* Minimum of four years of professional experience developing Microsoft SharePoint portal solutions and customizations.
* Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Desired Qualifications: * Experience supporting a DoD Combatant Command or similar federal environment.
* Ability to independently troubleshoot complex portal, code, configuration, integration, and performance issues.
* Proficiency with SharePoint, SPFx, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and common web-development technologies.
* Microsoft certifications in SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure, or Microsoft 365 are preferred.
