Job Description

Position: Application Architect

Location: Wilmington, DE

Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire

Need Candidates on W2 only

The Application Architect/PM is an exciting technical leadership position that is responsible for providing solutions to provide continuous integration and deployment across the enterprise. This candidate will provide expert technical advice and assistance for multiple projects; and lead design, coding, and problem resolution activities to ensure technical viability.
Major Responsibilities & Accountability:
Analyzing application specifications and technology approaches to ensure business requirements are met and are scalable for future product releases.
Conducting technical reviews during the software development life cycle and prescribing optimizations and improvement measures.
Working with Scrum team and management to recommend future application solutions.
Demonstrating fluency in technical aspects of a suite of specialized products and business applications.
Producing conceptual design documents and detailed specifications for large-scale projects.
Collaborating with a team to diagnose and resolve complex defects identified through testing.
Designed enterprise layered architecture applications;
Tackling complex technical challenges according to project needs;
Assessing existing applications in performance, architecture and development best practices;
Guaranteeing project quality in design-time by enforcing development best practices.
Qualification:
10+ years of combined software development/design, architecture, and project management experience.
5+ years of experience utilizing Java/J2EE architecture and design.
Financial Industry experience (STAR Network, ATM, debit card, Online payments, ACH) IS A MUST
Must have worked as architect for high volume high throughput applications in the past.
Experience with core Java, J2EE, PL/SQL, Oracle
Experience working in a Scrum/ Agile environment (preferred).
