About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pre-Construction Coordinator to join our team. In this fast-paced position, you will collaborate with estimators, project managers, subcontractors, architects, and clients to coordinate bids, project documentation, scheduling, and pre-construction activities. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving challenges. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Zero to 1 year of experience in construction estimating or related construction field
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints (Either in Class or Field Internship)
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, practices, materials, means, methods, and techniques
  • Capable of learning web-based project management and estimating software tools
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.


Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of Concrete, Asphalt, and Civil construction industries and language/terminology.
  • Some knowledge of relevant building code requirements and construction (ACI) execution/sequencing
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Teamwork
  • Bilingual – Spanish
  • Software Knowledge: Foundation, Smartsheet, ProEst, Trimble Business Center & Blue Beam.


Responsibilities:

  • Download and create project Bluebeam & data folders with up-to-date blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Updates all corresponding Project files with the most up-to-date information
  • Clean up the cloud-based storage system and ensure active and archived files are distributed to the correct folders.
  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate estimates of small projects through quantity take-offs and total contract price runs using estimating software, spreadsheet software, hand calculations, etc. Involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare estimates.
  • Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor or vendor quotes.
  • Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with Developers, General Contractors, and Vendors.
  • Help coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables, including submittals, permits, drawings, RFI and Change Order development, submission and tracking.
