About the role
The Video Intern will support the creation of engaging video content for social media, web, and recruiting initiatives by assisting with editing, production, and post-production workflows. This role will help capture and organize footage, create platform-specific video content, and support on-site shoots through camera, lighting, and audio setup. The ideal candidate has experience with professional video editing software, a strong portfolio of editing work, and a solid understanding of video production fundamentals. This internship offers hands-on experience taking projects from concept to final delivery while collaborating with stakeholders to meet content goals and deadlines.
What you'll do
  • Edit short- and long-form video for social, web, and recruiting, including assembly, audio, color, titles, and export to platform specs
  • Support shoots end to end: shot list prep, on-site camera/lighting/audio setup, and on-set assistance
  • Cut vertical, platform-native versions of longer pieces for X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram
  • Capture and organize B-roll of manufacturing and facility operations; maintain footage libraries and backups
  • Take video projects from concept to delivery, incorporating feedback and hitting publish deadlines
Required Qualifications
  • Portfolio or reel of work you personally edited
  • Proficiency in a professional editing suite (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve)
  • Working knowledge of camera, lighting, and audio fundamentals
  • Strong file organization; clear communication and reliability on shoot days
  • Available onsite in Austin, TX for the Fall 2026 term
Preferred Qualifications
  • After Effects, motion graphics, or animation skills
  • Experience shooting in industrial or field environments
  • Interest in energy, deep tech, or advanced manufacturing
  • Comfort with AI-assisted video tools and structured content review processes
