The Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) serves Indiana University Bloomington by recruiting, enrolling, and serving students. Bloomington Enrollment Marketing and Communications (EMC) delivers and supports strategic and innovative communications and marketing technology across all of OEM to advance student recruitment, service, and success. The department collaborates with campus partners to actively influence strategy, practice, and innovation.
Job Summary
This position supports online recruitment and digital communication initiatives for the Bloomington Office of Enrollment Management (OEM). Through close collaboration with Marketing and Enrollment Management stakeholders, this position helps ensure university websites effectively advance recruitment, communication, and engagement objectives.
Department Specific Responsibilities
  • Performs routine maintenance and updates existing web pages, while ensuring up-to-date industry standards, university standards, and accessibility standards.
  • Works within a content management system to create, make updates, and revise university web pages to include up-to-date information, appropriate functionality, and adherence to university design and accessibility standards.
  • Troubleshoots issues with web pages and coordinates to fix problems .
  • Assists in preparing, formatting, and editing images and documents for web pages.
  • Prepares and uploads assets for use in digital communications and web pages.
  • Performs web testing and quality assurance to ensure content is accurate, linking is correct, browser compatibility, etc.
  • Assists in building dynamic web content using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JS.
  • Assists in implementing tracking and analytics of digital campaigns.
  • Assists in gathering website analytics data for use in reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Assists in maintaining documentation.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Preferred
  • Some college
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
  • Some prior experience in related field
  • Higher education and IU experience
SKILLS
Required
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism
  • Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills

  • Demonstrated experience using HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with web content management systems
  • Experience using photo and design software tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work Location
Bloomington, Indiana
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$17.50 per hour
Work Hours
Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
This position is capped at 29 hours per week.
