Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Product Content Specialist creates engaging product and editorial content for digital and print marketing channels aligned with Product Marketing and eCommerce strategies, and manages instructional copy and layout revisions for associated product documentation to support regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is a versatile copywriter and editor who can pivot from crafting creative marketing content to refining product documentation, adjusting tone and structure for the channel, target audience, and intended use.
Responsibilities include writing and editing content for social media, email, web, blogs, and print materials, along with supporting benefit-driven product copywriting and online product page updates as needed. This role also reviews and revises product Instructions for Use (IFUs), user guides, packaging, and labeling documents for clarity, completeness, and accuracy, and guides updates through established review and approval processes.
The successful candidate is also highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders to turn their direction into actionable content.
This role is hybrid and requires regular onsite presence at our Dedham, MA office. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Write, review, edit, and proofread content for digital channels-including social media, email, web, and blog-and print collateral such as brochures and product sheets.
  • Edit, format, and update product-specific Instructions for Use (IFUs), user guides, product labeling, and packaging in accordance with established procedures.
  • Partner with Product Management to turn product strategies and content direction into compelling marketing messaging and clear, concise, and accurate instructional content.
  • Collaborate with eCommerce to implement channel-specific requirements and SEO directives across digital content.
  • Ensure content is accurate and consistent and adheres to established tone, voice, messaging, and brand standards.
  • Manage product-documentation projects from initial request through revisions and final approval, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and translation vendors as applicable.
  • Reformat and revise document layouts in Adobe InDesign and edit PDF documents in Adobe Acrobat as needed.
  • Support product content updates within our Product Information Management (PIM) system and upload finalized documents and assets to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Develop familiarity with AliMed's medical products portfolio, including product features, benefits, uses, and target audiences.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and develop or maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Department Operating Procedures (DOPs) as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3 years of professional experience in copywriting, copyediting, or content development for digital and print channels; experience in the healthcare or medical-device industry is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an excellent command of grammar, tone, and message structure.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of writing styles and capabilities across digital and print channels.
  • Strong copyediting and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat editing features; working proficiency in Adobe InDesign, with the ability to edit content and make basic document layout revisions; experience with Canva is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Familiarity with SEO content writing and implementing established SEO direction.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), and web-based project-management systems such as Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.
  • Comfortable using AI tools as necessary.
