    • Write and edit a range of short-form content - captions, summaries, calls to action, video descriptions and other microcontent that supports a clear user experience (UX).
    • Develop editorial content that showcases Brandeis people, programs and achievements - from quick spotlights to longer-form storytelling as opportunities arise.
    • Adapt and repurpose content across formats while maintaining a consistent institutional voice.
    • Publish and maintain content using a content management system (CMS), ensuring accurate formatting, linking and page structure.
  • Content Strategy & Collaboration (25%):

    • Apply SEO and GEO best practices to all content including keyword strategy, metadata, heading structure and linking, with an understanding of how well-structured content performs in AI-driven search environments.
    • Collaborate with designers on visual needs, making strong editorial image selections and optimizing assets for web use.
    • Work with the marketing, web and editorial teams to identify and develop story opportunities aligned with university marketing priorities.
  • Review & Quality (25%)
    • Edit and proofread web content - including content submitted by campus contributors - for clarity, accuracy, tone, accessibility and consistency with Brandeis brand and style guidelines.
    • Conduct content reviews for departmental pages, improving readability, accessibility and messaging as needed.
    • Use web analytics and user behavior data to evaluate content performance and inform improvements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, English, marketing, digital media or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web writing or content development.
