Description/Duties
  • The Criterion web editor is expected to upload several Criterion editions per quarter, depending on need, and after receiving explicit instruction from the chief editor and faculty sponsor.
  • Web editor must work in a timely manner.
  • Web editor is responsible for not only uploading Criterion but also curating and editing the Criterion webpage, making the photos, articles, advertisements, and any additional content look the best it can.
  • Web editor is responsible for attending each (weekly) editorial staff meeting.
  • Web editor should be able to bring ideas to the brainstorming sessions, follow up on tasks, and work semi-independently.
  • Web editors must have an up-to-date understanding of how to use the program Square Space.

Stipulations
  • Must be a registered La Sierra student
  • Must complete Student Authorization Form via Etrieve with Silvia Stenner (Office of Student Life)
  • Must have received Work Clearance Approval from Human Resources before taking on assignments
  • Must be familiar with Square Space

Expectations
  • Editors are not to exceed more than 4 hours clocked in per-pay period (2-week pay period)
