Job Description

NBC Connecticut is looking for a content producer to collaborate with our team of exceptional journalists to create engaging and compelling content for our broadcast and digital platforms. 

This is an overnight position.

  • Take charge of the big headlines with innovative showcasing and storytelling 
  • Create memorable newscasts for television and digital platforms 
  • Produce, write, and edit segments as assigned 
  • Collaborate with an experienced award-winning team 
  • Innovate by participating in long-form projects for our streaming services 
  • Contribute ideas for stories based on the NBC Connecticut News Strategy 
  • Fill in as a producer when needed on other NBC CT newscasts 
  • Develop within the NBC Owned station group 

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Play an active role in the editorial process 
  • Have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Have basic editing skills on non-linear programs 
  • Have strategic thinking, researching and organizational skills 
  • Have excellent time-management skills, prioritize assignments to meet deadlines

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have a flexible schedule with ability to work any shift including holidays and weekends with short notice  
  • Must have the ability to work any of a 24 x 7 shift

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States  
  • Required on site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
