The Job at a Glance

The SAP Integration Suite Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise integrations leveraging SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and related SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, ERP teams, application owners, and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable integrations across SAP and non-SAP platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong SAP integration expertise with modern API-led architecture principles and experience integrating cloud and on-premise enterprise applications.

A Typical Day Integration Development & Support
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
  • Build and maintain APIs using SAP API Management and RESTful integration patterns.
  • Develop integrations utilizing IDoc, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, REST, OData, JDBC, SFTP, AS2, and EDI protocols.
  • Create reusable integration assets and frameworks that support enterprise scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production integration issues while ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Monitor integration performance and implement proactive improvements.
  • Develop and support integrations between SAP S/4HANA and enterprise applications including:
  • EDI platforms
  • CRM solutions
  • Supplier and customer portals
  • Collaborate with business process owners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-on- premise , and hybrid integration scenarios.
  • Promote API-first and event-driven integration strategies.
  • Develop secure APIs following enterprise governance standards.
  • Assist in defining integration best practices, standards, and documentation.
  • Support integration modernization initiatives and migration efforts from legacy middleware platforms.
Quality & Governance
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and support procedures.
  • Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and change management requirements.
To Land This Opportunity
  • You have 5+ years of enterprise integration experience.
  • You have 3+ years of hands-on SAP Integration Suite (CPI) development experience.
  • You demonstrate a s trong knowledge of:
    • SAP S/4HANA integration architecture
    • REST and SOAP web services
    • OData services
    • IDocs, RFCs, and BAPIs
    • API Management
    • XML, JSON, XSLT
  • You’re familiar with i ntegration security and authentication methods
  • You’re confident with SAP BTP services and demonstrate s trong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • You have e xcellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • You demonstrate e xperience with SAP Event Mesh and event-driven architectures.
  • You demonstrate e xperience with EDI integrations including X12 and EDIFACT transactions.
  • You have e xperience integrating with cloud applications such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, or Azure-based platforms.
  • You have k nowledge of SAP GTS, TM, EWM, or SuccessFactors integrations.
  • You have e xperience with middleware platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, or SAP PI/PO.
