Web & Automation Intern - Spring 2027

CPAC Foundation

Alexandria, VA

Part-time

Posted 16 days ago

Job description

The Web & Automation Intern owns the organization's technical surface: the public website, the search performance behind it, and the internal automation that reduces repetitive staff work. This is the program's single technical role, which makes it unusually broad for an internship and unusually visible - the work is either live on a public property or being used daily by staff.
The role exists only where a technical staff member is available to review the work. Unreviewed code and unreviewed automation create risk rather than efficiency, and this posting should not go up without that reviewer identified.
Three rules govern the AI portion of the role and should appear in the posting: no confidential, donor, member, or pre-release information may be entered into consumer AI tools; every factual claim in AI-generated output must be independently sourced before use; and AI produces first drafts, never final products.
This role is ideal for: A technically capable student who wants to ship things that real people use - a live public website and internal tools other staff depend on - and who is comfortable being the only person in the room who understands how it works.
