What's the opportunity?

The Risk, Analytics, Modelling, Pricing and Processing (RAMPP) group within the RBC Capital Markets Quantitative Technology Services (QTS) groups seeking a Senior QA AI Automation Engineer focused on manual and automation testing for critical data and risk management applications. You will lead the AI-driven QA automation framework development of mission-critical Rates systems to increase code quality, testability and stability of releases for production live applications.
This is a high-visibility role with direct business impact. You will manage end-to-end testing across complex, interconnected systems, collaborate with business stakeholders and application teams to ensure high quality testing deliverables. You'll also be responsible to lead development of reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and components using AI tools like Copilot, and Devin, develop reusable scalable Skills to enhance quality of application dev, and testing capabilities.
You will champion AI-driven development, and tools/skills across a large QA team, and other stakeholders like development teams, and Project managers. You'll also get involve in demoing new tools and technology for wider group.

What will you do?

  • Contribute to AI-driven QA automation framework development for mission-critical Rates pricing systems, ensuring code testability, quality, and production stability.

  • Manage end-to-end testing across complex interconnected systems and lead test automation ensuring code and tests quality

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and application teams for requirements to define and deliver high-quality testing deliverables.

  • Hands on with vulnerability remediation in code base, and ensure code is maintainable, robust, reusable and secure.

  • Design and maintain reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and components leveraging AI tools.

  • Champion AI-driven testing practices and tools adoption within the QA team, development teams, and project stakeholders.

  • Develop scalable Skills to enhance application development and testing capabilities across the organization.

  • Evaluate and demo emerging tools and technologies to the broader group to promote AI-driven development

  • Maintain QA team's GitHub repos, and contribute to enhancements and optimization of existing code, participate in PR code reviews and suggest improvements

What you need to succeed?

Must Haves

  • Min 8 years experience in manual and automation testing

  • 5+ years Python development, experienced in configuration of GitHub Actions and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experienced with test management tools like Jira, qTest etc.to maintain test plans, test cases, and test cycles.

  • Proficient in API testing, database testing, and Web automation framework development for REST API-driven applications.

  • Strong experience with SQL/DB queries, UI test automation using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, TestNG etc.

  • Hands-on experience in building reusable AI Skills for driving development and testing efficiency. Proficient with AI-assisted development tools: VS Copilot, Windsurf, Devin. Expert in prompt engineering, context optimization, and token usage techniques.

  • Strong leadership capability to mentor junior engineers and drive automation excellence across teams.

  • Be able to manage own work, and lead through actions

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Capital Markets experience

  • Experience with test automation tools: Robot Framework, Postman, Appium, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG

  • Experience with Kubernetes, cluster management, microservices and distributed architecture, Azure DevOps
