Maverc Technologies is seeking an Applications Architect to support one of our State Agency customers.



Job Duties and Responsibilities 

 

The scope of work is to support the development, implementation and life-cycle management of new and existing enterprise technologies required to support the Department.


  • Participate in efforts to define the impact the Florida PALM implementation will have on current Department interfaces. 
  • Use subject matter expertise, industry methodologies and best practices to create a plan to migrate current interfaces to begin leveraging more modern technologies such as Informatica and Microsoft .NET.   
  • Detail data element inputs and outputs for Department computing assets interfacing with Department of Financial Services FLAIR. Inputs may include, but not limited to, manual data entry, direct access via scripting solutions, and batch uploads. Outputs can include data extracts, outgoing interfaces, and reports. 
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy data integration solutions with a focus on financial data accuracy and integrity. 
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams in the Office of the Comptroller to understand financial data requirements and develop financial data models that can be used for further analysis. 
  • Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate data integration tools and technologies, with a focus on financial data security and efficiency. 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data integration solutions. 
  • Mentor current staff on best practices for leveraging Informatica tools.  
  • Create documentation for financial data integration processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating knowledge transfer within the team. 
  • Ensures compliance with financial data regulations and industry standards. 
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to ensure successful implementation of financial data integration projects. 
  • Work with reports remediation team to ensure their data requirements for the FPST project are met.   
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives. 
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment. 
  • Must be able to resolve production release issues across business and technology teams, as well as broader strategic or systemic issues that are creating inefficiencies or hindering progress. 
  • Skill in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions. 
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and manage complex work assignments and project schedules.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • 5 - 8 years of professional experience in Information Systems or another related field is required.
  • 2 - 3 years of leadership experience with Enterprise Architecture is required 
  • Experience with .NET application development in a DevOps environment is highly desired. 
  • 2 - 3 years of prior experience with the FDOT Office of Information Technology is highly desired. 
  • Experience supporting mainframe systems is highly desired. 
  • 2 - 3 years of Windows Server administration experience is highly desired. 
  • Knowledge of Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools and Snowflake is highly desired. 

What will make you standout:
  • Experience working with flat file integrations. 
  • Knowledge of FTP and SFTP.  
  • Knowledge of advanced systems integration topics such as Web APIs and Data Streams 
  • Understanding of data encryption and the ability to communicate its importance.  
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts. 
  • Experience with an ETL tool such as Informatica (strongly preferred), Microsoft SSIS, or Oracle ETL.  
  • Strong SQL skills. 
  • Familiarity with ETL processes
  • Data cleansing and transformation experience. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently.  
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies and practices.  
  • Knowledge of the SCRUM Framework.   
  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter 
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI  
  • Experience with Oracle Datawarehouse   
  • Knowledge of mainframe programming languages, computer systems and supporting software 
  • Knowledge of financial systems such as an ERP  
  • Experience with WebFOCUS 


Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.  Or equivalent work experience.


Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience.
