Job Description:

Responsible for managing and maintaining the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions including Oracle Agile PLM and PTC Windchill to ensure their optimal performance and availability. This role involves installing, configuring, and upgrading software, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any system issues that arise. The administrator also monitors solution performance, implements security measures, and ensures data integrity and backup procedures are in place. Additionally, they collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the solutions continue to provide required business capabilities. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role to ensure the solution meets the organization's needs and operates efficiently.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain production and non-production PLM Solution environments, including upgrades, including the following:
    • Linux system administration.
    • Web/Application Server Management.
    • PLM specific Oracle Agile PLM and PTC Windchill.
    • Database Management (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server).
    • Networking.
    • Security.
  • Ability to maintain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Must be available to travel ~10% of the time
  • Maintain a CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Troubleshooting and Support of:
    • Oracle Agile PLM and PTC Windchill support and maintenance tasks.
    • Analyzing logs, system performance metrics, and Stack Trace Information
  • Documentation and Communication:
    • Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams and end-users.
  • Project Management:
    • Use basic project management skills to handle PLM-related projects and tasks.
    • Use agile software lifecycle management methodologies and principles support PLM continuous development activities.
    • Coordinate PLM Solution testing efforts
    • Coordinate planned and unplanned system outages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Active TS/SCI with poly clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 4 years' experience with Linux or Windows system administration or similar:
    • Proficiency in Linux command-line interface (CLI).
    • Knowledge of Linux file system, user and group management, and permissions.
    • Experience with shell scripting for automation and task management.
    • Familiarity with system monitoring and performance tuning.
  • 4 years' experience with Web/Application Server Management:
    • Experience with web/application servers such as Apache Tomcat and WebLogic.
    • Configuration and management of these servers for hosting PLM Solutions.
  • 1 year experience with Database Management:
    • Experience with Oracle databases and Microsoft SQL Server databases
    • Using SQL for database querying and management.
  • 1 year experience with Networking:
    • Basic understanding of network protocols and configurations.
    • Knowledge of firewall and security settings on Linux.
  • 1 year experience with Security:
    • Implementation of security best practices for Linux servers.
    • Experience with SSL/TLS certificates and encryption.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • 2 years experience with Oracle Agile PLM and PTC Windchill:
    • Understanding of architecture and components.
    • Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, and user management.
    • Knowledge of Agile PLM modules such as Product Collaboration (PC) and Product Quality Management (PQM).
    • Knowledge of Windchill capabilities, Workgroup Manager, integrated CAD, Apache Solr, Thingworx, etc.
  • 1 year experience using Backup and Recovery methods:
    • Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for Linux servers, Oracle Agile PLM software, PTC Windchill software, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and Hypervisors such as VMWare ESXI.
    • Experience with tools and scripts for automating backup processes.
  • 1 year experience performing Integration and Customization activities:
    • Understanding of PLM software APIs and integration points.
    • Basic and Working Knowledge of Oracle Java
    • Custom Code Deployment and Configuration Java (JARs and WARs)
    • Custom Code Deployment and Configuration Oracle Database (Schema and PL/SQL)
