Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY 

As a Mobility Engineer 2 you will focus specifically on the software development and application layer—packaging, vetting, deploying, and securing mobile applications. This includes ensuring secure, reliable app delivery for all our clinical and non-clinical applications as well as the development of various software tools that benefit our Unified Mobility team. This role ensures that not only we have addressed any Service Central tickets as needed but you have delivered new capabilities related to iOS, Android, MacOS, or web tooling and testing. You aren't just managing devices; you are ensuring that the technology in a clinician’s hand is seamless, secure, and life-saving.

Key Responsibilities

• App Wrapping/SDK: Implement MDM SDKs or App Wrapping (AppConfig) to enforce data loss prevention (DLP) within apps (e.g., preventing copy/paste of patient data). This may include Intune MAM, MSAL or various analytics tools.

• Application Lifecycle: Manage the ingestion, deployment, updating, and retirement of internal (LOB) and public store application or enterprise iOS apps.

• Vetting & Security: Analyze application permission requirements and privacy manifests before approval for the enterprise catalog via NowSecure.

• Development: Work with Microsoft Graph APIs, assist with testing of EntraID / MSAL on mobile applications and potentially some enhancements to some web apps.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES  

The candidate will be involved in:

• Meet with mobile development teams to review NowSecure findings.

• Experience with deployment, support and on-site troubleshooting.

• Manage app onboarding, packaging and deployment.

• Supports clinical and other enterprise IT teams including facility techs and working to troubleshoot installation, updates, and access issues.

• Contribute to the development and/or testing of various software development efforts related to iOS, Android, Microsoft Graph APIs or web apps.

• Coordinate testing and validation of app releases.

• Ensure apps meet security standards including NowSecure minimum scores and compliance requirements.

• Creates and maintains documentation.

• Seeks opportunities to learn and lead newer team members.

• Customer support and troubleshooting as needed via Service Central / Service Now.

• Knowledge of security best practices for endpoint management.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft EntraID

• Participate and potentially co-lead team scrum efforts.

• Maintains operational documentation and any runbooks needed.

AREA OF EXPERIENCE  

Knowledge of three or more of these areas would be preferred:

Proficiency of either Microsoft Intune and/or WorkspaceOne UEM.

Knowledge of security practices (CIS, OWASP, etc.)

Azure DevOps or similar

Network architecture

Stakeholder engagement

Change management

Agile process experience

Very strong written and verbal communication

EXPERIENCE

3 years of experience is required

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree preferred

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as part of a team of a development or technical team of engineers

• Experience working from a backlog

• Experience in Healthcare software application development and testing.

• Experience with agile methodologies.

• Knowledge of mobile app development lifecycles and AppConfig standards.

• Exposure to security and data protection practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS 

• Sitting at desk for 4 to 5 hours at a time viewing monitor and typing.

• Ability to work nights and weekends when assigned on-call responsibilities.

• Some light travel may be required (less than 20%).
