Job description

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer with a Top-Secret security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC.

The Senior Web Application Developerwill design, develop, and maintain advanced solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI at the FBI.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead architectural design sessions and translate business requirements into scalable, well-structured Power Platform solutions.
  • Implement robust data models, relationships, and business rule using Dataverse and other connected data sources.
  • Build custom connectors, integrate external systems, and optimize API-based integrations across the M365 and Azure ecosystems.
  • Develop and deploy Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls and other extensibility components using JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Establish and enforce Power Platform governance, including environment strategy, ALM processes, and security best practices.
  • Manage solution lifecycle through source control, DevOps pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions.
  • Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and technical discussions with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and citizen developers.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business analysts to refine requirements and shape platform strategy.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and solution diagrams.

Here's what you'll need:
  • 5-8 years experience (expert-level) building solutions using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), and Power Automate.
  • Strong proficiency with Dataverse, data modeling, and relational data structures.
  • Experience developing Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls.
  • Experience in creating and consuming custom connectors and integrating external systems.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue, and Node.js.
  • Experience with developing, packaging, and deploying C# plugins for extending business logic in Power Apps applications.
  • Solid understanding of solution layering, ALM, and managed/unmanaged solution strategies.
  • Experience implementing role-based security, environment strategies, and governance best practices.
  • Strong skills designing and optimizing Power Automate flows.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform with Azure services (e.g. Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Key Vault).
  • Ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade Power Platform architectures.
  • Experience setting standards, patterns, and governance best practices for low-code development.
  • Ability to evaluate business requirements, perform gap analyses, and propose modern solution architectures.
  • Experience with DevOps pipelines, Git-based deployments, and automated solution deployment strategies.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and guide teams on best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
  • Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces that enhance user experience.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and make improvements.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide insights and data visualization.
  • Bachelor's Degree (additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the Degree).
