Overview:

Our client is seeking an Application Developer to join a long-term modernization program that will replace legacy pension administration systems with a modern Azure-hosted platform. This role will work alongside technical teams, business analysts, and project managers to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications that support thousands of users across the state. The ideal candidate will have experience building modern web applications using Microsoft technologies and Angular while contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, Angular, SQL, and Web APIs
  • Build and support RESTful APIs, integrations, and automation workflows
  • Participate in Agile development activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and code reviews
  • Create and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable application components
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical specifications
  • Contribute to application architecture, design decisions, and development best practices
  • Develop and maintain Azure-based solutions supporting cloud-native applications
  • Utilize Azure DevOps and Git for source control, deployment pipelines, and project tracking
  • Submit pull requests and participate in peer code reviews
  • Support modernization efforts involving legacy system replacement and cloud migration initiatives
  • Create technical documentation and assist with knowledge transfer activities

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of application development experience
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET development
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs
  • Angular 16+ development experience
  • Strong SQL development and database experience
  • Experience using Azure DevOps and Git
