About the Role

Are you ready to make the web accessible to all? We’re on the lookout for Software Engineers who are experts in web accessibility and can help us ensure our public websites meet WCAG 2.1 guidelines. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of implementing code updates to enhance accessibility for all users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement remediation requirements to tackle accessibility issues on our public websites.
  • Update front-end codebases (JSP, HTML, CSS, STRUTS) to guarantee WCAG compliance.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.
  • Diagnose accessibility issues and provide user‑centric solutions.
  • Efficiently manage and track accessibility tasks using tools like JIRA.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in web accessibility remediation.
  • In‑depth knowledge of WCAG 2.1 guidelines and accessibility best practices.
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring, JSP, HTML, CSS, and STRUTS. Knowledge of Angular and Bootstrap is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JBOSS servers.
  • Experience with web accessibility testing tools.
  • Strong track record with issue and project tracking tools, especially JIRA.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies.
