Weatherization Technician
Location: Fairbanks, AK
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

TDL Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking Weatherization Technicians to join an in-house construction crew completing energy-saving upgrades for residential homes in the Fairbanks area. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working as part of a team, and learning valuable construction and weatherization skills.

Previous construction or weatherization experience is helpful, but the right candidate can be trained on the job. This position offers steady full-time work, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install insulation in attics, walls, basements, and crawlspaces
  • Assist with weatherization and energy-efficiency upgrades
  • Help with job site setup and cleanup
  • Install vapor barriers and assist with foundation and insulation projects
  • Repair or replace windows, doors, roofing, and venting as needed
  • Follow safety procedures and support a positive team work environment
  • Travel locally as needed for projects or training opportunities
Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more regularly
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, confined spaces, and outdoor environments
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including heat, cold, dust, and uneven terrain
  • Ability to wear a respirator when required
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work well with a team
  • Construction or residential building experience is helpful but not required
  • Weatherization experience or training is a plus; willing to train the right candidate
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Background screening is a part of the hiring process for this position
