Launched in October 2021, the platform builds upon FOX News Channel's expansive newsgathering units & FOX Television Stations' added resources with a combined 120 meteorologists for a comprehensive suite of weather products featuring local, regional and national reporting, in addition to live programming. Utilizing multiple radar systems, including an immersive mobile 3D radar, and more than 100,000 HD cameras located around the country, the service offers users an innovative approach to forecasting, including coverage surrounding all weather patterns, from immediate to long-term. FOX Weather is available via foxweather.com, the FOX Weather app on IOS and Android devices, as well as Tubi, Apple TV, Amazon, and Roku, through FOX's Connected TV Apps.JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Weather is looking for an Associate Producer to join our team in New York. In this role, you will pitch stories, conduct research, coordinate video and graphic elements, and work closely with our on-air meteorologists. You'll also help grow our social media presence and source the best user-generated content. The ideal candidate is a strong producer with excellent editorial judgement who thrives in a fast-paced, breaking news environment and is passionate about delivering informative, compelling weather content.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pitch daily story ideas, from breaking weather news to compelling weather-related features

  • Helpproducesegments for FOX Weather programming

  • Find the best sound bites, video, and graphics to build informative and engaging segments

  • Write scripts and banners, cut video, and occasionally book guests all while quickly responding to breaking weather news

  • Quickly identify strong user-generated content from multiple sources, ensuring the best elements are incorporated intoFOX Weather coverage

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

  • Background in a news or news-related production environment

  • Strong writing and segment producing skills

  • Experience working in alive control room

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond quickly to breaking news

  • Familiarity with broadcast weather display system is a plus

  • Passion for weather; weather production experience is a plus

Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
