Job Description:
Position Summary:
DTN is seeking an Associate Weather Risk Analyst to join our Weather Operations team in Bloomington, MN. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality weather analysis and forecast products to DTN customers through both text, verbal, and graphical content. The ideal candidate brings strong meteorological expertise, thrives in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment, and is passionate about providing accurate, timely, and impactful weather insights.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Analyze and forecast key global weather patterns and atmospheric conditions.
  • Develop and deliver detailed text and graphical weather content using DTN tools and datasets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure forecast accuracy, consistency, and product quality.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to weather graphics creation and distribution.
  • Support continuous improvement of forecasting processes and operational workflows.

What You Will Bring to the Position:
  • You must reside in or relocate to Minnesota for this role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.
  • Strong synoptic analysis and forecasting skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work within a team environment.

Compensation:
The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $40,500 and $54,000. DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
