Job description

Job Summary

The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for providing support for PJFS QCC transportation teams in systems administration (routing, dispatch, fleet telematics and safety systems), dispatch operations, logistics design work, resource utilization assessment, data analytics, KPI compilation and assessment, and department audits as directed by Sr. Manager, Transportation Systems. Support will be primarily centralized from the corporate office, however on-site support at QCCs may be necessary at times.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Systems Support –provide support of systems used for routing, dispatch, fleet telematics and safety. Coordinate testing and training for system enhancements and upgrades. Perform data entry and maintenance as needed. Track system support needs to identify trends for system issues and user proficiency. Participate in limited after-hours systems support on-call coverage.
  • Operations Support – will support QCC transportation teams through identifying and correcting systems process errors and assisting with deviations from normal systems workflows resulting from demand surges, operational issues (example, production breakdown), or environmental disruptions (example, extreme weather events)
  • Logistics design work – support initiatives to optimize routes, fleet territory coverage, driver schedules and equipment utilization. Partner with inventory management team to assess fleet coverage for inbound lanes. Assess historical data to identify trends and report on opportunities. Use route optimization system and other data assessment tools.
  • Reporting – Provide detailed and thorough analysis and reporting of performance in various areas of the transportation operation. Create weekly scorecards and maintain KPI dashboards. Leverage multiple data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
  • Auditing – Use data available from various systems to monitor process adherence in various aspects of the transportation operation, including invoice processing, driver performance, driver and equipment scheduling, fueling, maintenance, etc.

  • Basic office skills – professional email and phone communication, readiness to contribute to team meetings and calls
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills (lookup formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros, etc.), proficient with Teams, CoPilot AI, data visualization tools (example Tableau).
  • Transportation management systems familiarity preferred – shipment management, asset tracking, dispatch, route design. Examples: Manhattan, Oracle OTM, McLeod LoadMaster, TMW Appian Direct Route, OmniTracks, PeopleNet, Samsara
Education, Experience & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as mathematics, computer science, advanced statistics, logistics, supply chain management, OR 3years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, transportation management, or a related field
  • Experience with routing, dispatch or supply chain management systems
