Job description

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis of applicants, including reviewing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness.
  • Evaluate the strength of collateral offered by applicants to secure credit, ensuring its adequacy and relevance in mitigating credit risk.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential clients, verifying information provided and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Retrieve and analyze consumer credit reports.
  • Assess the credit risk associated with each application, taking into consideration factors such as ability to repay, payment history, debt levels, and industry trends.
  • Prepare detailed credit packages and maintain accurate documentation of the credit analysis process.
  • Prepare compliance reports for collateral monitoring and associated maintenance, as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact credit decisions.
  • Assist in all other functions of client service including origination, maintenance, and retention of client portfolios.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

MIMINUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting
  • Minimum one-year experience in a financial analyst or credit analyst role with a financial institution or mortgage company
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of assignments.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must consent to and have favorable consumer report and background check
