Job description

ARQ Wealth Advisors is a fast-growing, independent, fee-only fiduciary wealth management firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona, overseeing more than $600 million in client assets. At ARQ, we are passionate about helping our clients achieve their financial goals while delivering a boutique, white-glove service experience. What sets us apart is our team-based culture, where collaboration and service are at the heart of everything we do.
The Wealth Advisor Position:
This role is perfect for an early-career Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) who has some experience in the industry but is looking for the right long-term place to grow their career. As a Wealth Advisor at ARQ, you will serve as the primary point of contact for your clients while working closely with our support staff and executive team to deliver comprehensive financial planning solutions.
We are looking for someone who is service oriented first.   At ARQ, you’ll have the opportunity to build your career at a firm that values your growth, both professionally and financially.
What Makes ARQ Unique:
  • Team-Based Culture: Advisors collaborate on cases, share insights, and are supported by a dedicated team of client service associates and partners.
  • Growth Potential: We offer a clear career path, mentorship opportunities, and the chance to grow your earnings through incentives for bringing in new business and growing share-of-wallet with existing clients.
  • Boutique Service Model: Unlike firms where advisors manage 300-400 clients, we limit the number of clients per advisor to ensure a high-touch, personalized service experience. Our firm averages approximately 65 clients per advisor. We want to ensure that our advisors can focus on what they do best— building relationships and delivering exceptional financial advice.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Acting as a fiduciary on behalf of clients, always putting their interests first.
  • Providing comprehensive financial advice in areas such as investing, tax planning, estate planning, college planning, retirement & income planning, and insurance planning.
  • Utilizing financial planning and analytic software to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Preparing for, conducting, and following up on client meetings.
  • Corresponding with clients via phone, email, and virtual meeting software.
  • Developing new client relationships with the support of our team.
Position Requirements:
  • A passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals through the financial planning process.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a self-assured manner that inspires trust and confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the personal finance industry, working directly with clients to provide financial advice.
  • Bachelor’s degree and CFP® or ChFC® certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Why Join ARQ?
  • Competitive Salary & Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, incentives for new business development, and rewards for growing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Career Pathing: Clear opportunities for advancement and professional development.
  • Mentorship: Access to experienced advisors and partners who are invested in your success.
  • Work-Life Balance: Our boutique service model ensures you can focus on delivering exceptional service without being overwhelmed by an unmanageable number of clients.
If you’re a service-minded CFP® looking for a place to grow your career, build your earnings potential, and work in a collaborative, team-based environment, we’d love to hear from you.
