Position Summary

Job Description Summary:
Responsible for the support, maintenance and enhancement of the eCommerce Application (Shop STERIS) using HCL commerce eCommerce platform. Responsible for requirements validation, development, unit testing and coordinating software change releases. Responsible for day-to-day support, coordinating implementations, working on upgrades, and implementing features and functions. Participate in project planning sessions with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Analysts and development team members to analyze business and technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution. Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations. Incorporate security requirements into design. Understand and comply to SDLC in all planning steps. Incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Provide input to information and data flow. Ensure interface specifications are included in completed deliverable. Identify applicable system platform, components, and dependencies. Translate technical requirements into programmed application modules. Develop and enhance software application modules. Perform unit, system and integration testing and participate in capacity and performance testing of an application. Create and test prototypes. Complete assigned project deliverables within business and audit control requirements. Identify and document ongoing maintenance requirements. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Perform system integration testing and analyze and report the results to pertinent teams. Review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. Participate in project estimating activities. Develop & enhance the eCommerce integration tier (middleware).

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: Development Life Cycle; Developing application using JAVA; Supporting eCommerce applications (IBM WebSphere commerce, WCS or HCL Commerce); Supporting mobile responsive applications; APIs and Web Services; J2EE; PL/SQL; WCS Subsystems such as Catalog, Order, Member, Payment and Marketing; REST Services; and WCS tool CMC.
