Job description

Behavioral Health Director

Location: Winnebago Public Health Department – WCHS, Winnebago, NE

Status: Regular, Full‑Time Perm

Reports To: Public Health Administrator

Closing Date: Open Until Filled

Salary: $138,669 - $150K DOE

Position Summary

  • Leads, plans, and directs all Behavioral Health (BH) programs within WCHS.
  • Oversees mental health and substance use services in alignment with organizational policies and community needs.
  • Provides administrative leadership in budgeting, staffing, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensures high‑quality clinical supervision and development of BH staff.
  • Delivers outpatient and outreach behavioral health services as needed.
  • Applies professional judgment to ensure effective, culturally competent care.
