JOB DESCRIPTION:
River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Maintenance Entry Worker to join our maintenance team. Job Location and Hours:
Location: 1241 Orchard Hill Rd. Milledgeville, GA
Schedule : 8:30am - 5:00pm
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Completes work orders assigned to them in a timely manner based on priority
  • Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
  • Painting I staining both interior and exterior applications
  • Preventative maintenance as assigned
  • Maintain and keep a clean and organized maintenance shop and other work areas
  • Assist in coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone with other team members
  • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • One plus years' experience in facility maintenance or equivalent
  • Dry walling including painting
  • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Related experience preferred
  • On-the-job training offered
  • HVAC Experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
