Job description

Diagnose and develop repair/restoration solutions for the built environment. This includes all major components and systems of buildings and other infrastructure. Projects range from property condition assessments to detailed evaluations of structural systems, roofs, facades, plaza deck and below grade waterproofing systems, MEP systems, pavements, industrial floors, and construction materials. Assessment techniques include, visual examination, non-destructive testing, instrumentation and load testing, laboratory testing, and destructive examinations. Client deliverables range from reports of findings and recommendations to development of restoration design documents and construction oversight/administration.

From general practitioners to specialists, our national Facilities professionals know facility systems from curb to rooftop. As a member of our team, you'll join licensed architects and engineers delivering services for new construction and existing facilities including building enclosure consulting and testing, facility asset management, due diligence, ADA and accessibility consulting, facility condition assessments, and more.   • Bachelor's degree in building science or related building field and 5-7 years' experience in facility assessment. Or, in lieu of a degree, 9-11 years' related experience.
  • A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC) or equivalent certification
  • Mid-level Facilities professional responsible for managing and executing routine and sometimes more complex projects.
  • Works typically on small to medium sized projects.
  • Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates assessments, inspections and testing of property, buildings and roofs.
  • Drafts reports and other client deliverables under the direction of more senior consultants.
  • Makes recommendations, adaptations and modifications for review and consideration by senior consultants.
  • Participates on projects of greater complexity within more detailed portfolios.
  • Performs or oversees contract administration for small-to-large projects.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
