About WaterBridge
WaterBridge is a leading water infrastructure and midstream services company focused on the development, ownership, and operation of large-scale water management systems. We partner with producers across major U.S. basins to deliver integrated produced water gathering, recycling, and disposal solutions. Our Commercial Operations team sits at the center of that work, managing the relationships, contracts, and economics that underpin everything we do.
The Role
The Commercial Analyst will support WaterBridge's Commercial Operations team across pricing, contract analysis, financial modeling, and business development. This is a high-visibility role that works directly with commercial leadership and interfaces regularly with finance, engineering, and operations. The right candidate is comfortable moving between detailed financial models and clear recommendations, with some exposure to customer-facing work as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate commercial opportunities, including new customer contracts, volume commitments, and rate structures
  • Support contract negotiations by preparing economic analyses, scenario runs, and pricing proposals
  • Track and analyze customer volumes, revenue, and contract performance against commitments
  • Assist in the development and execution of business development initiatives, including preparation of term sheets, proposals, and presentations for prospective customers
  • Support customer relationship management in coordination with senior commercial staff
  • Monitor basin-level market activity and competitive positioning to inform commercial strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and legal to ensure contract terms are accurately captured and executed
  • Prepare regular reporting packages for internal stakeholders and senior leadership

Qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a commercial, finance, or analytical role; midstream, energy infrastructure, or water services experience preferred
  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel; ability to build models from scratch and audit existing ones
  • Ability to evaluate deals using discounted cash flow analysis and return metrics including IRR, NPV, FCF yield, and MOIC
  • Working knowledge of midstream contract structures, including volume commitments, dedications, and fee-based arrangements
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy
  • Experience using Enverus to export and analyze permit activity, rig counts, DUCs, remaining inventory, production profiles, and offset operator activity
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences, with proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
