Job description

Job Overview:

Landmark Landscapes is looking for an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our Charlotte team. The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial irrigation systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong irrigation knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires someone who takes pride in their work, provides professional customer service, and is committed to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

· 

  • Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial irrigation systems.
  • Perform irrigation system start-ups, shut-downs, and winterization.
  • Inspect and maintain controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, rain sensors, backflow devices, pumps, and irrigation zones.
  • Diagnose electrical, wiring, hydraulic, and mechanical irrigation issues and make necessary repairs.
  • Perform property inspections and complete required service paperwork.
  • Communicate system conditions, repairs, and work-order status to the Irrigation Manager and Account Managers.
  • Maintain proper irrigation parts, tools, and equipment on the company vehicle.
  • Safely operate irrigation tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers, Account Managers, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Assist with training other employees on irrigation procedures and techniques as needed.
  • Work assigned hours, including occasional weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–5 years of professional irrigation experience required.
  • Experience with commercial irrigation systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, start-ups, shut-downs, and winterization.
  • Experience diagnosing irrigation wiring and electrical issues preferred.
  • Experience with 2-wire systems, multi-strand wiring, multimeters, and wire locators/tracers preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required and are a MUST for this position.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
