Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Integration & Test Engineer. The successful candidate will work with the design team and be the integration & test authority for assigned projects. The I&T Engineer supports the development and maintenance of the test requirements, test plan, & test approach from project kick-off through closure of the contract. Responsible for verification of technical scope as defined by the design authority, with a focus on maintaining cost and schedule goals. Facilitates coordination of cross-functional engineering teams for requirements development.

  • Decipher technical contractual requirements and allocate them to test cases within the project's test plan
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate with the Engineering Support team to get parts on order and systems built
  • Create test procedures and automated test software to verify product's compliance with requirements
  • Perform customer witnessed acceptance testing of project hardware
  • Manages requirement traceability through verification, using tools such as a Requirements Verification Matrix
  • Develop requirements for creating test simulators or custom test tools
  • Assess project technical risks and provides mitigation plans particularly around testability
  • Coordinates the review, presentation, and release of test documentation to support requirements compliance, including Technical Interchange Meetings, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews
  • Coordinates with the Project Engineer & Program Manager (PM), design team and functional management to communicate program impediments or issues / delays in completing tasks
  • Travel as necessary to support system integration, testing, and customer meetings

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Familiarity with commercial test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, WAN Emulator, etc.
  • Proficiency with Python software language
  • Proficiency with Linux operating system
  • Ability to create test plans and test procedures in MS Word
  • Good communication and relationship skills with program leadership, engineering leadership, customers, and engineering team members
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors, maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Awareness of software and product development techniques, Agile, SCRUM, plus Water-fall approaches
  • The ideal candidate has several years' experience with satellite telemetry and commanding, including EPOCH Product Suite.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience operating, troubleshooting, and/or repairing SATCOM systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
  • Proficiency with RF Communications and frequency domain analysis 

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $125,000-$160,000
