Job Description

Role Overview

Lead and support a high-performing team while driving operational excellence in a regulated laboratory environment, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and inspection readiness.

Leadership & Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Lead training, maintain records, and support onboarding
  • Conduct performance reviews and support succession planning
  • Participate in hiring and candidate evaluations

Operations & Workflow

  • Coordinate daily workflow to meet turnaround times (TAT)
  • Prepare and review job plans
  • Drive process improvements and support Lean/CCI initiatives
  • Maintain inspection readiness

Sampling & Lab Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental monitoring (air, surface, personnel)
  • Conduct utility (compressed gas) and water sampling
  • Support performance qualification (PQ) activities

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with cGMP and lab standards
  • Perform data entry/review and maintain data integrity
  • Complete SPV reviews and support investigations
  • Identify deviations and escalate when needed

Technical & Equipment

  • Perform equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot methods and equipment issues

Continuous Improvement & Safety

  • Identify improvement opportunities and support Lean initiatives
  • Maintain safe work practices and support HSE goals

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 1+ years of Environmental Monitoring experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong computer and laboratory documentation skills
  • Experience with data entry, review, and GMP-regulated environments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Familiarity with environmental, utility, or water sampling preferred
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
  • The position is full-time, Monday through Friday,  2pm-10:30pm (2nd shift).
  • Position is located in Lebanon, IN
  • May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
